Frisco, TX · Collin and Denton Counties

Living in Frisco, Texas

Frisco is one of the best-known suburbs in North Texas, with newer homes, major sports venues and a long list of amenities.

Frisco at a Glance

Frisco sits north of Dallas in Collin and Denton counties. It has grown quickly over the past two decades and is home to The Star, the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters and training facility, as well as Toyota Stadium, Riders Field and the PGA of America headquarters.

Frisco Square, the Frisco Rail District and a wide range of parks give the city plenty of everyday places to go. Many neighborhoods are master-planned, with pools, trails and community events built in.

Popular Frisco Neighborhoods

Frisco Rail District and Frisco Square

Downtown areas with townhomes, older homes and newer infill near restaurants and events.

Master-Planned Communities

Large planned neighborhoods with amenity centers, trails and newer homes throughout the city.

West Frisco

Newer construction on the Denton County side, with access to the Dallas North Tollway and US-380.

Near Stonebriar and the Tollway

Established homes from the late 1990s and 2000s close to shopping and SH 121.

Frisco Schools

Frisco ISD serves much of the city. Some neighborhoods are zoned to Lewisville ISD, Prosper ISD or Little Elm ISD, so check the district by address.

Getting Around

The Dallas North Tollway runs north–south through Frisco, SH 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway) crosses the south side, and US-380 runs along the north. Most commuters drive, as Frisco is not on the DART rail network.

Frisco Homes and Architecture

Most Frisco homes were built from the late 1990s onward, so you'll see a lot of open layouts, two-story plans and homeowners association communities. Because homes are newer, buyers often focus on finishes, layout and lot rather than major systems.

Designer's tip

With so many similar floor plans in Frisco, small design choices make a home stand out. When you sell, lighting, paint color and a styled primary suite often matter more in photos than a big remodel.
